Straight Smile With Invisalign® in Fairfield

Fairfield woman putting on Invisalign clear bracesWouldn’t it be great if you could straighten your crooked teeth without having to get braces? With Invisalign in Fairfield, now you can! This treatment uses a series of custom-made clear plastic aligner trays to gently shift the teeth, and more and more patients are choosing it because of its subtle appearance, comfort, and convenience. No one will notice that you’re wearing a nearly invisible tray, and you can take one out whenever you need to eat or brush your teeth, making it fit seamlessly into your life.

How Invisalign Works

tooth and InvisalignIf you’re interested in Invisalign, your first step is to schedule a consultation with your dentist in Fairfield. We’ll examine your teeth and take some X-rays so we can learn more about the alignment problems that are plaguing your smile. We’ll also take some photos and impressions.

The information we collect about your smile becomes the basis for your Invisalign treatment. Dr. Cuevas will record the details about what he wants your orthodontic process to accomplish, and he’ll send all of the relevant data to Invisalign, which will create your aligners.

You’ll wear each aligner for 20 – 22 hours each day for about two weeks. Every time you switch to a new aligner, your teeth will move a tiny bit closer to their proper positions. You’ll have periodic checkups in our office so we can make sure that everything is going according to plan. On average, Invisalign takes about a year to work, but the treatment time may be longer or shorter depending on how far your teeth need to move.
